Fluchtnovelle – Thomas Strässle und Elke Heidenreich erzählen von der Macht der Liebe gegen die Übermacht der Systeme
Erfurt, 1965: Im „Haus der Roten Armee“ lernen sich eine Studentin aus der DDR und ein Student aus der Schweiz kennen. Beide sind blutjung – sie 21, er 23. Sie verlieben sich und wollen ein gemeinsames Leben, doch der Eiserne Vorhang trennt sie. Dass er zu ihr in den Osten gehen könnte, kommt nicht infrage, und so suchen sie verzweifelt nach einem Weg für sie in den Westen. Als sie einsehen müssen, dass es legal nicht geht, wollen sie das System austricksen: Die DDR tut alles, um die Menschen an der Ausreise zu hindern, also versuchen sie es bei der Einreise. Alles wird minutiös vorbereitet, doch im entscheidenden Moment läuft nichts wie geplant. Thomas Strässle stellt seine Fluchtnovelle gemeinsam mit Elke Heidenreich vor, sie befindet: „Eine geradezu unfassbar gute Geschichte mit allen literarischen Mitteln ... so fabelhaft, dass man als Leser nur beglückt sagen kann: Genau das ist ein gutes Buch.“
